Adoption of mechanism in European Parliament, enabling temporary visa requirement for citizens of third states under visa free regime and from which a huge number of false asylum seekers originate does not mean abolition of visa free regime for third states among which Montenegro stands.

Third call for proposals launched

Third call for proposals has been published on 13 September 2013 The Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia launched the Third Call for Proposals in the frame of the IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia – Montenegro, 2007-2013. The deadline for submission of the proposals is 13 December 2013.

Montenegro joined and supported Joint Statement on Syria

Montenegro is joining and supports Joint Statement on Syria adopted on September 6, 2013 in the margins of G20 meeting in Saint Petersburg, by the United States and another ten states*, whereas another 15 states of Europe and the world have joined them in the meanwhile. The statement denounces utilization of chemical weapons in the suburb of Damascus, for which Syrian regime has been responsible according to the thus far collected proof.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has published the first number of the Magazine Diplomarius containing an overview of foreign policy activities of the Government of Montenegro and the work of the Ministry during the first half year. As the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration emphasized in editorial, the Magazine with periodical overview of a number of activities carried out on the plan of diplomacy and European integration had been initiated following the model of other ministries in this field, with the purpose of additional informing international and home public as well as with the purpose of increasing transparency of the work of the MFAEI.
