Montenegro welcomes US-Russia agreement on Syrian chemical weapon

Podgorica, Montenegro (17 September 2013) -- Montenegro welcomes the framework agreement reached between the United States and Russia on the destruction of the Syrian chemical weapons, under the Chemical Weapons Convention, in cooperation with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

Third call for proposals launched

Third call for proposals has been published on 13 September 2013 The Agency for Regional Development of the Republic of Croatia and the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia launched the Third Call for Proposals in the frame of the IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia – Montenegro, 2007-2013. The deadline for submission of the proposals is 13 December 2013.

Montenegro joined and supported Joint Statement on Syria

Montenegro is joining and supports Joint Statement on Syria adopted on September 6, 2013 in the margins of G20 meeting in Saint Petersburg, by the United States and another ten states*, whereas another 15 states of Europe and the world have joined them in the meanwhile. The statement denounces utilization of chemical weapons in the suburb of Damascus, for which Syrian regime has been responsible according to the thus far collected proof.
