Having in mind the intention to hold the referendum on the independence of Crimea and the reactions to this intention by the entire international community, including the EU, the UN, and G7, Montenegro voices concern over the announced change in the status of Crimea and calls for abstention from unilateral moves which may only lead to a further escalation of the crisis and rise of tensions, which could additionally strain the economic circumstances and slow down the economic recovery.
