The Anna Lindh Foundation is an inter-governmental institution bringing together civil society and citizens across the Mediterranean to build trust and improve mutual understanding, based in Alexandria (Egypt) and registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro prof. Dr. Srdjan Darmanović participated today in the ministerial meeting of the American-Adriatic Charter (A5) in Skopje. This meeting was final activity within the Macedonian Chairmanship of the Charter which will take over Montenegro in January 2018.

On the second day of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, a session was held within the NATO-Georgia Commission, where practical and political support was given to Georgia as an aspirant for membership in the Alliance.

On the first day of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, where Montenegro participates for the first time as a member, a new set of measures to strengthen NATO and EU cooperation in areas of mutual interest is adopted.

Minister Darmanović conveyed Montenegro's position, as responsible NATO member, on the modalities of overcoming the security and other challenges that the region faces. He stressed that Montenegro is committed to fulfilling its obligations in the Alliance and that, in accordance with its capacities, will participate in its activities, missions and operations. He also conveyed Montenegro's intention to assist all the aspirants in the region in order to meet the necessary NATO standards, which is consistent with our national interest and strategic commitment to make this part of Europe more stable and prosperous.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Srđan Darmanović participated today in the conference "Shaping a Balkan future in an Era of Uncertainty", organised by the Atlantic Council of the United States.The conference focused on political, security, economic and other aspects of the integration process of the Western Balkans in order to ensure its permanent and sustainable stabilisation, democratisation and economic prosperity.
