Minister Darmanović congratulated Mr Michell for taking office, hopeful that the strategic, partnership and friendly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened in the time to come. He pointed out that, as a new and responsible member of the Alliance, Montenegro wants to contribute to resolving security and other challenges facing the Western Balkans.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, PhD Srdjan Darmanovic met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Dimitrov, during his official visit to Skopje. It is was jointly assessed that there are no open issues between Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia and that the relations between the two countries represent an example of excellent cooperation in the region.Minister Darmanovic pointed out that one of the priorities of the presidency of the US-Adriatic Charter, which Montenegro takes over from Macedonia on January 1, 2018, will be to support Macedonian membership in NATO.
