Both sides agreed that it is necessary to further intensify political contacts at the highest level, especially in the light of the celebration of 140 years since diplomatic relations between Montenegro and France have been established in December this year.

MVP Minister Darmanović informed State Secretary De Montchalin about the results that Montenegro has achieved in the process of negotiations with the EU and pointed to the significance of the enlargement policy continuation for the Western Balkan countries, despite the challenges the EU is facing.

Furthermore, both sides expressed satisfaction with cooperation between the two countries within NATO that is based on common values and goals.
