Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic PhD spoke today with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of UAE, during his official visit of Abu Dhabi.

On that occasion, Darmanovic and Al-Nahjan signed the Protocol supplementing the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on mutual exemption from entry visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports, which will enable Montenegrin citizens - holders of ordinary passports to enter and stay in the UAE up to 90 days, without a visa.

It is jointly pointed out that the signing of the Agreement is very important for the further development and strengthening of relations between the UAE and Montenegro.

Darmanovic said that the favorable visa regime and the already established airline Tivat-Dubai will affect directly the further growth of tourist traffic and intensification of contacts in various spheres between the two nations.

Minister Al-Nahjan stressed that the signing of two more agreements in the upcoming period will significantly strengthen bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the proposals for continuation and improvement of overall cooperation were discussed, with a special emphasis on tourism, investment, infrastructure, energy and agriculture.

The interlocutors exchanged views on current regional and international issues.

During the visit, Minister Darmanovic laid a wreath at Wahat Alkarama Martyrs Memorial.
