Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration press release regarding the Moscow metro incident

According to the information conveyed late last night to the Embassy of Montenegro to the Russian Federation by the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation, no Montenegrin citizens died or suffered injury in yesterday's metro incident in Moscow.

The train derailment and crash that took place Tuesday at the Slaviansky Boulevard in western Moscow has so far, according to the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief, claimed 21 lives, and over 160 people were seriously injured and hospitalised. Around 1.150 people have been evacuated from the metro.

The total number of casualties is yet to be determined, and the Embassy of Montenegro will continue communicating with the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief and the consular department of the Russian foreign ministry.
